Casinacho Games: a week with the pocket mini-game set

I put Casinacho Games on my old test phone mostly to see how it handled airplane mode, and it passed on the first try. No login screen, no 'connect to continue' — you tap the app and the menu is right there.

The app is really a small collection of mini-games. My favourite ended up being the tile-matching mode; there's a soft satisfying pop when a group clears, and the difficulty creeps up at a fair pace. The reaction-tap mode is the one I'd pull out when I only had thirty seconds free.

Controls never fought me. Everything is tap, swipe or hold, and each mode explains itself in one short screen before you start. I never had to guess what the game wanted.

If I had a complaint, it's that it's light — you won't sink an evening into it. But that's also the point. As a thing to open while waiting in a queue, it's genuinely pleasant, and the fact that it runs with the signal off is the main reason it stayed on my phone.

Would I keep it installed? Yes, in the same folder as the other little time-fillers I actually use.
