Emberfall Chronicle
★★★★★ 4.7
Emberfall Chronicle is the kind of RPG that respects a phone screen. Battles are turn-based, menus are big enough to read on the bus, and you can save at almost any point. The story follows a group of exiles rebuilding a ruined town, and it's told with surprisingly sharp little dialogues.
Combat rewards planning over grinding. Each character has a short skill tree, and picking the right order of moves matters more than raw stats. We finished the first act over a weekend and never once hit a paywall or a 'come back later' wall.
It's entirely offline, which is rare for an RPG of this size. The download is chunky, but after that you're free.
