Why building sims feel great on a phone
Fast games want your full attention. Building sims and slow strategy don't — and that's exactly why they work so well on a phone you check in short bursts.
Iron Frontier is a good example. You set a plan in motion, put the phone away, and come back later to adjust. Except here nothing happens while you're gone, because it's offline and pause-friendly, which I actually prefer.
Gearbox Tinker does the same for repair fans. Diagnose a machine, order the part, come back and finish. It fits the rhythm of a day broken into small pieces.
If you've only played twitchy mobile games, give a slow sim a real week. The genre rewards patience in a way that suits the device.
